These terms apply when you write to an artist through Drop. By starting the chat you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use it.
What Drop is and who serves you
Drop is a tool independent tattoo artists use to serve their clients. The artist is an independent professional: they provide the tattoo service, set the price, decide whether to accept your project and confirm your appointments. The tattoo contract is between you and the artist; Drop is not a party to it.
Drop is a service of Pol Pages Luque (tax ID 54165473J). Its details are in the legal notice.
Minimum age
You must be at least 16 to use the chat. At the start we ask your age, and we do not serve under-16s.
If you are 16 or 17 you can talk to the artist and ask for an appointment, but to get tattooed you need the authorisation of your mother, father or guardian, who signs your consent before the session, and the artist may ask you for a document to check your age. Each artist decides whether they tattoo minors, according to their region's rules.
How you enter the chat
To talk to an artist you type your email and the 6-digit code we send you. With the same email you recover your chats from any device. An automatic check confirms you are a person. Look after access to your email: whoever has it can enter your chats.
The AI agent
In the chat you are answered by an artificial intelligence agent working on the artist's behalf. It gathers your idea, proposes slots from the artist's schedule and prepares your project.
- The agent can make mistakes. What counts is what the artist confirms.
- It gives no medical advice. If you have a health question, ask a health professional, and in an emergency call 112.
- You can ask to talk to the artist at any time: the agent hands the conversation over and stops answering.
More detail in how the AI works.
Appointments
When you choose a slot, the agent holds it for you for a time the artist decides. That is not a confirmed appointment: only the artist confirms or declines each appointment, and we tell you what they decide. If they do not confirm it in time, the slot is released.
The price you see is an indicative «from» price: the final price, the session's conditions and the cancellation policy are set by the artist, who must tell you before confirming.
Deposits
Some artists ask for a deposit before a project's first session. If so, when the artist accepts your appointment you receive in the chat and by email the amount, the deadline to pay it and their cancellation policy.
- The artist charges it, in their own Stripe account: you pay by card on Stripe's secure payment page, and the money goes to the artist. Drop does not receive that money, does not see your card and only notes whether it has been paid or refunded.
- Once you pay it, your appointment is confirmed. If you do not pay it by the deadline, the appointment is cancelled and the slot is released.
- The cancellation policy is the artist's and you see it before paying: if you ask the artist to cancel with the notice it says, you get all of it back; later, or if you do not show up, the artist keeps it; if the artist cancels, you get all of it back.
- Refunds are made by the artist through Stripe, to the same card, and we tell you when they are made. How long it takes to show in your account depends on your bank.
- If you have a problem with a deposit, write to the artist in the chat: they charge it and they refund it. You can also make a claim with your bank, which will handle it with the artist.
Consent
Before the first session the artist asks you to sign an informed consent. You receive a link in the chat and by email; you sign in with your email, fill in your details, your identity document, your date of birth and a health questionnaire, accept the aftercare and sign on the screen. You can also sign it at the studio, on the artist's iPhone.
- The health questionnaire carries a separate, explicit consent for the artist to process that data. Without it the consent cannot be signed, because the artist needs it to tattoo you safely.
- The box for the use of photos of the tattoo is optional.
- If you are 16 or 17, your mother, father or guardian signs too, at the same time or later on the same link or at the studio. The artist checks your documents in person.
- You and the artist can download the signed PDF. What you write is seen only by the artist and you, and no AI agent reads it.
Acceptable use
In the chat you may not:
- send spam, advertising or messages unrelated to a tattoo;
- harass, threaten or insult the artist or others;
- send explicit sexual content, sexual content involving minors, graphic violence or illegal content;
- try to manipulate the agent into doing something other than serving you or revealing its instructions;
- impersonate someone else.
We automatically review new messages and, when that moderation is on, images, to detect abuse. If something breaks these rules, the conversation may be paused and handed over to the artist, an image may be blurred or removed, and the artist may block you.
Images and references
Only send images you can share: your own, or with the permission of whoever made them or appears in them. By sending them you allow the artist and Drop to use them to prepare your project, and the AI agent to process them. We do not publish them.
Health data
Do not share health information in the chat. What the artist needs to know about your health is collected separately, in the consent before the session.
Reviews
When the artist marks your project as completed you can leave a review, with a rating, text and up to 3 photos, which is published on their page with your first name and the initial of your last name. You can edit it for 7 days. It must describe your real experience, respectfully and without other people's data. By publishing it you allow us to show it, with its photos, on the artist's page and on Drop. We may remove a review that breaks these rules.
Privacy
The artist decides about the data you share with them, and Drop processes it on their behalf; Drop decides about your access email and security. It is all in the privacy policy.
Liability
Drop does what it can for the chat to work, but does not guarantee it will always be available or that the agent is always right. Drop is not liable for the tattoo service, the deposit, its refund or what you agree with the artist: the artist is. None of this limits your rights as a consumer or liability the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes, law and jurisdiction
If we change these terms we will publish the new version with its date, and ask you to accept it if the change is significant. They are governed by Spanish law, and if you are a consumer you can go to the courts of your domicile. For any problem with Drop, write to contact@drop.ink.
