Reviews

When you complete a project, your client receives the review request in the chat. Reviews are shown on your page, and you can reply to them or report them from the app.

How it is requested

When you mark a project as Completed, Drop sends the client the Leave a review element in the chat and an email with the link to the conversation (only if the client has verified their email by entering the chat; if not, they will see it the next time they enter). If they do not respond, tap Resend review request on the project's Review card (or Ask for a review, if it had not been requested yet), at most once a day: they get another email and the previous request stops being valid. Only clients with a completed project with you can leave a review, and one review per project.

What they can write

From 0.5 to 5 stars (in half stars), a text and up to 3 photos, from which Drop removes the location and camera data. They can edit it for 7 days from the same chat element; after that it is fixed.

Where it is shown

In the reviews section of your page (What their clients say), in a carousel that slides (on the phone with your finger, on the computer with the arrows) and keeps loading the older ones, with the average rating and the number of reviews in the header. Each review shows its stars, the text, its photos (they enlarge when tapped), the date and the client's name with the initial of their surname (“Laura G.”); never their email. A new review appears on your page as soon as it is published; its photos, as soon as Drop prepares them.

In the app you see the review on the project's Review card, with the text and the photos.

Replying

Replying in public comes with Trace and Ink; on Zero the app says Available on Trace. A published reply stays if you move down a plan.

From the project's Review card, tap Reply. Your reply is published under the review on your page. You can reply only once and the reply cannot be changed, so read it before publishing it. The client can keep editing their review during their 7 days.

Unfair reviews

You cannot delete or change a review, but you can report it from the project's Review card (Report) stating the reason, once. Our team reviews it and hides it if it breaks the rules (insults, personal data, false content). While it is under review, it stays visible; the card tells you whether it is still under review, whether it stays or whether it has been removed.

Reviews and the directory

Your page appears in the Drop directory if it is Public. Reviews counting toward the directory order will come later; today they have no effect.

Frequently asked questions

Can I reply to a review?
Yes, once and in public, from the project in the app (see “Replying”).

What happens to the reviews of a client I delete?
They are deleted with them at the end of the 14-day grace period; if you restore them before then, they come back with them.
